Rejected

My son made it to the last batch of rejections for the class of 2020. But due to this site, he had put plan b.. plan c etc. Into place prior... Made the hit sting a little less. Today he is in AFTOTC at a major university with a type 1-commanders scholarship and has contracted. When I asked him how he feels now with how things have turned out, he's thrilled with this path. Congrats!! He will have a more enjoyable college experience. I was bummed my son was not selected but am over it now. A friend of mine is a captain in the AF and stationed at D-M AFB. He graduated from the AFA. He told me that if he had to do it all over again, he would have graduated from a typical four year college, experienced college life then applied to OCS.

Thanks! My son really enjoys AFROTC in college....he's an Honor Guard and also joined their Air Force rec softball team. He feels he has the best of both worlds.
