Recently I fractured my ankle, and this was reported to DODMERB. I was put in "REM Status" (I was medically qualified before the injury) and was told my doctor has to send something in saying im fine when I get my cast off on Friday. Does anyone know what rem status is? And the Naval Academy told me my application was under review will this affect their decision even though they know of my injury?

You have been given a remedial. All they know is that you broke your ankle. They may want you get get CT/ MRIs done to determine whether there is tendon damage. Have your doctor do a full check on the fracture because six weeks in a cast is NOT enough time to go full-bearing on an injury. You will need physical therapy (at least one visit) and DODMERB is just covering their bases.

You will most likely be cleared by your doctor, but I would be careful through plebe summer.
