My son is applying to West Point and just got a notice of Remedial/AMI from DoDMERB:

* 251.02--DD Form 2492 is incomplete--box 85 is incomplete or illegible.
This box is on the DODMERB form for "Examiner's Summary and Elaboration of All Pertinent Data". We called the clinic where he was examined and asked them about it. They were a little confused but they said they would talk to the examining doctor, and if there was an issue they would re-fax the form to Concord.

* 228.00--broken finger
He broke the middle finger of his right hand in football practice a week or so before the exam. He was in a splint on the day of the exam. We can get a letter from the hand specialist that he saw that treated the injury saying that it's healed/healing and he doesn't expect the injury to limit range of motion or activities.

* 231.90--ADHD
He did have a diagnosis of ADHD in January 2017 and was on medication (Vyvanse) until October 2017. No taking or prescription of medication after October 2017. We have a letter from the diagnosing/prescribing doctor that my son no longer had any ADHD symptoms and has performed in school and sports successfully without the medication. He never had any accommodations in school or in testing for the ADHD.

He got a LOE and a "2Q" letter (reading that he's qualified academically and physically, but medical review is still pending). Based on relative test scores, GPA, varsity sports, etc., he should be a strong candidate.

Is there anything else we should be doing now? Does anyone have experience with the first issue (missing box85 from examiner) or the potential waivers for 228.00 and 231.90?

Thanks
