I am new to this whole process and am completely DoDMERB for CGA and ROTC. I just checked my DoDMERB portal today and it says this:
Date letter sent - Remedial(s) with clin Remedial(s)R251.51,R129.99
My current status says Under DoDMERB Review.
What does all this mean? An I dqed?
I looked up the codes and copied below.

R251.51Consult - Applicant's private physician for ear wax removal/TM evaluationTHE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE CANNOT PAY FOR THIS REMEDIAL. REQUIRES AN APPOINTMENT WITH YOUR PRIVATE PHYSICIAN: PHYSICIAN INSTRUCTIONS: Please obtain an evaluation by your private physician to have the cerumen (wax) removed from your ear(s) and evaluate the presence or absence of a tympanic membrane perforation or other significant findings. Please ensure you take this letter with you to your appointment and your private physician should provide you with a clinical note of the evaluation that you can submit to DoDMERB. APPLICANT ONLY INSTRUCTIONS: DoDMERB is unable to determine your medical status due to cerumen (ear wax) occluding the visual examination of your tympanic membranes at the time of your initial examination. If you elect to continue the medical process for your Service Academy and/or ROTC Program application, please complete this remedial and return the results to DoDMERB.

R129.99Please $DOES NOT REQUIRE A PHYSICIAN'S APPOINTMENT: PLEASE $ $$ .

That means your ears were too dirty to conduct a visual investigation of the inside of your ear. Go get an ear wash from an ENT or Family Practice. You will be amazed at how much comes out and how much better you can hear.

Quit using Q-tips to clean your ears-- it just packs the wax in.

Same thing happened to me in MEPS a long time ago. No big deal-- just get it done. You're not DQ'd.

Nah, don't wait. If you have insurance, just go get your ears cleaned. As long as they don't pop your ear drum, it is no big deal. Better to have it taken care of beforehand. Plus, like I said, it makes a big difference in your hearing. Pretty wild.

I would assume you will get a letter.

Just get your ears cleaned, man. Then wait for the letter. See what it says to do. Odds are it will say to get your ears cleaned. :)
