Hello everyone,

So I got a remedial to get my ears checked for cleaning but does my private physician just send my results to DoDMERB or do I have to call DodMERB and ask for a specific form? I just don't know how that works. Thank you.

For remedials DoDMERB will assign a Dr to do the follow up exam/cleaning. You do have the option to use your own physician. DoDMERB pays if you use their Dr. You pay if you use yours. If you want to use your own Dr. call DoDMERB for authorization and ask them what for a form or what specific information they need.

Oh okay thank you. Yeah I will have to call then because DoDMERB said I have to use my own physician.

This particular remedial (ear cleaning) is commonly on the applicant for payment rather than DoDMERB.

My opinion...
Call DoDMERB Monday and ask how they want the information conveyed... As I recall there is something on the website that indicates you can fax it in but if over x number of pages they want it snail mailed. You have to include some very specific information (Full name, SSN/part of SSN?) in the fax/mail so DoDMERB can match up the update to the correct file.

Get a letter on the Dr's letterhead and fax it to DoDMERB.

yes, contact your DodMERB tech, often information can be emailed if they say so.
Make sure it has your name and last 4 digits of your SSN
