DS received a remedial request for pharmacy log dating back to 2014. Sent in requests to the 2 pharmacies I remember ever getting scrips for him I don't believe he has gotten any prescriptions for him after 2014. If they have no records for him from 2014 on to present, is that an issue? Any one had this happen? I'm thinking it's because he had childhood asthma....

I had the same request. I asked my care provider since I have gone to the same clinic since birth. Do you have a medical provider you could ask? I recommend going to them rather than the pharmacy

I think you need the pharmacy records, not just medical records. Our provider writes scripts refillable for a year and DoDMERB wants to know how many times the script was filled. So, in the case of a DQ for inhaler usage, how many times was the rescue inhaler (or others) used? At least, that's my interpretation. If there are no records of the medication at the pharmacy and you said you don't believe you had any filled, you could request your EOB's from your insurance company to double check. I know when I called our pharmacy (it's a mail order pharmacy associated with our insurance provider), they explained that they would have to manually process the Explanation of Benefits to get that pharmacy information- we're still waiting a month later.

If there is no inhaler usage after 2014, your child should have a good case for a waiver because the DQ is for asthma after the age of 13... Your pharmacy should provide a letter stating that no prescriptions were filled during the requested period and I would submit that. My dd has the same DQ and has similar info. requested.

Good luck to you!

HawkeyeMom Did they ask for any other info after submitting the record for your DD?

Is it an issue? No one knows. If no records then you gave DoDMERB what they wanted a pharmacy log dating back to 2014. If there are records send them in. Nothing more nothing less. Don't speculate just give them what they ask for.

Well, we submitted a request to our pharmacy (we have military retired mail order pharmacy) in mid-November. We are still waiting on records; and yes, we followed up with phone calls and finally elevated it to supervisor. So, I don't know. Makes me angry that we have such poor service for our military dependents who want to give back and serve.

I had pharmacy request as well. I've been going to the same pediatrician since I was born so I contacted them and they provided a nice letterhead document of anything I was ever prescribed. This satisfied DoDMERB and there were no further requests.
