My DD has to supply additional medical records, but she's not sure how to send them in. Do the doctors send them directly or is she to get the records and mail them in herself?
Thank you in advance!

I obtained all medical record from doctor's office then scanned the required ones and emailed it. Getting records take a while however. hope this helps

She should send them using a method that provides proof of delivery.
That way you will know for sure it arrived instead of wondering.

So I'm requesting the records and then I send them in? Any idea how long this process takes? I know it could take up to 30 days to get records, but how long before they post it on DoDMERB?

Is the address on their website? I'm sorry for all the questions? New to the process.

We sent everything as email attachments. Make sure you have candidate's name and SSN typed in the body of the email. We received acknowledgement email very next day and the remedial was processed within a week. Very happy with the process

contact the assigned (by alphabet) DoDMERB tech for guidance and if getting records will take a while so they know you are working on it.
when my son explained the records he needed were for his ROTC scholarship the medical offices were very accommodating with promptly providing what was needed..

Our physician's office was very accommodating and expedited the records process knowing DD was needing them for NROTC scholarship and DODMERB. We sent them certified mail since the number of documents was quite significant.

If you are emailing ANYTHING with a SSN on it, you should encrypt the email or send it via FAX instead. Age 18 is way too early to get your ID compromised. :mad2:

Two of the three offices have already handed records over to me! I'm impressed at how quick they were. I can't read the writing from one doctor though.

Messy handwriting is a medical school requirement! Having worked in a hospital it was quite a chore to read! Sometimes we even had the pharmacist read charts for us! :D

I believe they ask for the last 4 digits, not the entire SSN

My DS got remedial request letter from dodmerb website on Sept 11, he sent his answers Sept 14 and got an email conformation few hours later that the information received. the status still shows "remedial requested" as of Sept 25. Sent email to the coordinator and got the response that it's in the doctors queue since Sept 15 and for us to be patient. Keep checking the website for the status update!!! Getting little worried. Please share if you experiencing the same.

Hang tight and keep on checking the system daily. There is no set length of time for how long it may take for the additional remedial review to be done. It could take just a couple days, weeks, or even months. It is done on a case-by-case basis. For my DS, the review was done and his status changed wirhin just a couple of days after his additional medical records was confirmed received.

Thank you! Just checked, Sept 26, and he got "Qualified" What a relief!

I wrote the original question here. We're still waiting for a third set of records to arrive. My DD emailed DoDMERB as was told that email was the preferred method of sending records. No other directions. I don't even know what email to send them to! Do I put her SSN on it and or her Candidate #?

I believe a phone number is provided for a DODMERB technician. Your DD can call and get her questions answered there.

This could be a place to start:
