Remedial vs. Waiver?

Hello, I was required to complete a remedial for DODMERB and was finally qualified. I am still, however, confused on the difference between a remedial and a waiver? Can someone let me know?

I'm not an expert on this, but I think that a remedial is a request for more information by DoDMERB, and the waiver is the result of your required information being submitted and approved by the SA that grants it. I've also tagged @MullenLE, the DoDMERB expert who most likely has more information on this.
 
Based on the information you provided, the candidate was not disqualified, therefore a waiver would not apply. As stated, a remedial is a request for information (which may occur before OR after being disqualified) then if disqualified you would be seeking a waiver to be requested on your behalf by the SA. Again, if you are qualified after submitting your remedial, without going through the DQ process, then you are good to go.
 
Remedial (AMI = Additional Medical Information) is required by DoDMERB to make our decision OR a waiver authority to make their decision regarding a DoDMERB DQ

Waiver Granted = Medical box checked. The DoDMERB DQ was waived by the SA or ROTC

Waiver Denied = No admission :wiggle:
 
So my status is now "Awaiting Reciept of Remedial." As I understand the flow chart, I am to receive a letter explaining what I need to do now. Can anyone tell me if this is a written letter or email? I just left for spring break and will not be home for a week. Moreover, though I've updated my address on the DoDMERB website and it has the correct address on my profile page, it still shows my old address on the opening page. I just don't want to waste anytime awaitng a letter that may be going to a wrong address. Thanks, in advance for any help!
 
check the DODMETS portal for correspondence. You should get an email saying to check.
