I just went on the DoDMERB website and found that I have received a remedial, which will be coming in the mail by this week.

In my case, I was disqualified but given a remedial. Does this mean that my file is being considered by the West Point Admissions Committee? Do they think I am competitive enough to be given a remedial?

Not the end of the process, just the beginning. Supply the information or submit to the requested testing to clear the remedial.

West Point doesn't issue remedials, DODMERB does.

DODMERB doesn't offer opinions on your competitiveness as a USMA candidate.

Not quite true. If you have been DQ'd the Waiver Authority can request a remedial. It will be requested and processed through DoDMERB.

wpkim1992- did you get a notice saying you were being considered for a waiver or does that notation show up on your DODMERB website. If so then the WP Surgeon requested a remedial to better assess your situation. IF West Point admissions is seeking a waiver then they consider you competitive for USMA or one of the Prep programs.

Contact Larry Mullen and he can explain the specifics of your case to you:
