This is the result of my son's physical. Should we be expecting something in the mail to tell us what we have to do next?

I am confused as the USAFA status doesn't give any reason, just a note saying "Remedial Requested."

I am also confused about the status for the USMMA that mentions "Post Waiver Review".

Should he wait for a letter or should he start writing his waiver requests now?

RetNavyHM is the expert on your questions and will be answering soon, I am sure. You will be receiving letters from DoDMERB soon explaining exactly what medical information they need. Your son's DoDMERB page should show the dates the letters were mailed (above the "Remedial Requested" lines). Just act on the requests in a timely manner and the process will work.

There people at DoDMERB are caring, knowledgeable and professional. They really do care about your candidate.

I believe, but I'm not certain, that USMMA has an automatic waiver granted process if an applicants vision is just outside the standards. I am going to have to check on that today and get back with you on it.

As soon as the letter has been sent from DoDMERB the remedials should be listed on the DoDMERB web site. You can start gathering information as soon as they show up, and know that a letter is on its way to you.
