Hello everybody,

I am currently a candidate for both the USAFA and USNA. 2 weeks ago, I received an email from DoDMerb stating that I owe them a remedial regarding a condition I was diagnosed with. I am almost done collecting all the documents I need, but I was wondering, is my application on pause until DoD receives and reviews my remedial? Can I not receive an appointment between now and the time it takes DoD to review everything?

Congratulations to all the candidates who received an appointment.

No
You “may” receive an LOA, contingent on DoDMERB qualification OR medical waiver granted.

Because there is plenty of time between now and April 15, it's likely that USNA will wait to make a determination until the medical waiver issue is resolved. If it drags on near or past April 15 and USNA wants to give you an appointment, the likely course, as Mr. Mullen stated, is to give you an LOA. That would essentially guarantee you an appointment provided your medical "clears."
