Remedials question: anxiety

Remedials question. My son had been prescribed an antihistimine in 9th grade that the peditrician said could be used to reduce adrenaline and stress/anxiety. The request for remedials is asking :

Obtain psychiatric diagnostic interview examination regarding a history of anxiety disorder. Please provide an evaluation performed by a doctorate level provider commenting on current and past diagnoses, treatments, and whether the Cadet is released to full unrestricted Military duties. A telehealth appointment is acceptable.

Does this need to be performed by a psychiatrist or can he return to same pediatrician (doctorate level provider) for evaluation and letter?

His best course of action would be to clarify with his DoDMERB technician. They are really the only ones that can answer. I understand the confusion, it seems to me you might want someone more specialized to do the interview than a pediatrician, but that's just my perspective.
