Reporting Tattoo

Howdy, I was wondering if anyone knew the process of getting a tattoo while in Army ROTC. I'm currently a rising MS2 and am planning to get one (can not be seen while in PT clothes). It has 0 malice meaning and I falls within Army regulation but has some personal reason why I need to get it. Not at all trying to be talked out of getting it, here to ask if anyone had to go through paper before getting their tattoo (or parents of CDTs that got tattoos). I talked with cadre about it and they gave me a verbal approval and didn't indicate that I need to do any paperwork. I know that I will have to report it in my next medical examination but that isn't until my MS3 or commissioning.

Help pertaining to pre-tattoo prep would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
 
Send it up to unit staff. I know 10 people who have gotten one during ROTC, all got approved!

Based on conversation with cadre and your description, you should be fine.
 
I think the OP's question has been nicely answered above. I'll just share the only tattoo I believe is within is the AROTC regulations and that meets the unwavering standards of excellence and class is the Tattoo tattoo. Smiles everyone. Smiles.

I believe ink-work of Fantasy Island's Tattoo is authorized for one cheek, only if accompanied by Roy Orbison on the other.

Gotta check the Regs.......
