I just finished writing this, please let me know what I can do to make any improvements. Thanks!

My desire to attend a Military Academy first began when I was little. All I ever wanted to be at that point was my dad, and when I learned that he had attended the United States Military Academy, that is exactly what I wanted to do. At that point in my life, I had no idea what West Point involved, and what it meant to attend an academy. Flashing forward to today, I now have my own personal reasons to attend West Point. Throughout my life, I have never sought the easy path. I willingly embrace the challenges that come my way, and I believe that West Point offers a unique and rewarding challenge, one that will push me beyond my known limits, and encourage personal growth. The west point mission mentions the idea of “leaders of character.” This resonates with me as I strive to lead by example, uphold strong values, and make decisions with integrity and decisiveness. This leadership is something that I strive to incorporate in my life, as it is important not only for West Point itself, but for the service that is necessary after my completion of the academy. By attending West Point, I know I will be challenged and shaped into the man that I aspire to be: one who serves with honor, leads with confidence, and leaves an impact on those around me. West Point is more than just a step in my journey, it is the foundation for a lifetime of service, leadership, and personal excellence.

Here are some grammar improvements to what you wrote. I also made some other improvements. Good luck!

Huh, this seems to be the same exact question that my MOC has posed, although with a 1-2 page requirement so for me they're probably expecting something quite a bit longer. I assume it has to be a pretty common question, no?
