I am not very familiar with the Navy OCS process. Here is a question from a senior at a civilian college: "The application for Navy OCS requests the contact information from my supervisor. I want to return to this employer if I am not offered an OCS spot. If they know I am applying, they are likely not to offer me a position after graduation. I confirmed this with a family friend who works in another group. Will the recruiter accept another option?"

First, having worked over 100 OCS applications the recruiter won't know the difference. I'm not advising you to lie, I'm just saying that if there's someone you're more comfortable putting down as a supervisor, it'll likely be alright.

That said, if your current employer were to be so upset at your exploring an OCS application that they would penalize you for it, perhaps they aren't an employer worth giving your time and energy to. I recognize that it's easier to say that than act on it, but perhaps put them down and let the chips fall. Moreover, I'm not even certain those contacts are made. Certainly not by the recruiter and doubtful by the selection board. Where that would come up is your background check, but that's much further down the line.
