Hi there - I'm really new here and thank you for all of your wisdom. I have learned a lot from reading numerous posts the past few days.

Pardon me if this has been asked before but I cannot seem to find the answer on any thread I have searched.

If a date appears next to the CFA on the required documents of your application status page does that mean that you passed or is it pending review?

I took the CFA last week at NASS and think I did pretty well but like I have read here many times there is always room from improvement!

They will let you know if you failed your CFA, but they WON'T let you know if you passed. Your BGO can see if you either passed/failed. I am not sure if you can send better scores if you already passed, but I don't think it is that important. Focus on other more important things, like your SATs

your BGO can tell you if you passed, and you can retake the CFA if you think you can improve.

Keep in mind, if you retake it, your old score is deleted - you have to go with the most recent score.

My DS was with you last week at NASS and he's at SLE this week. Lessons learned from that....Army thinks Navy is too lax on the way they count pushups and pullups, so SLE counts tend to be lower on those components. DS was sure his mile run time would be faster (he was trying not to throw up the lunch MRE and got 6:15). But mile time was slower--6:22-- (maybe other factors for SLE runners than at NASS?) We're hearing the same advice 23LT gave...if you passed, put time/energy into finishing all applications and scratching out a few more points on SAT/ACT instead of training for another CFA score.

@Therese_In_Denver I witnessed many people throwing up during the run!

I'm not applying to USMA - only AFA and USNA - hopefully I will find out if I passed from my BGO soon.

My scores were:
Bball - 50 feet (yep.....)
pull ups - 12
Shuttle - 8.8
push ups - 60
sit ups - 64
mile - 5:32

I hope my bball throw does not hold me back. If so, I will work harder to improve all scores.

I'm going to stick my neck out and say you probably passed. Impressive mile time.

My son did not do as well as you last year (well, better situps and bb throw) and a date showed up on his portal soon after. It must have been good enough (for him, in the context of competition and the rest of his package).

Take a look at the max and goals for each event. 4 of the 6 are below the goal for USAFA. Great mile time! However, another try would be prudent. Lots of info on how to improve the throw. It is more about technique than anything. The event that needs the most improvement in my opinion is sit-ups.

Don't give up the ship! Push for max scores! Expect to Win!
