Is it a requirement for the SLS program that you submit your ACT, PSAT, or SAT scores? I ask this because at my school they have only issued out the PLAN test (practice ACT essentially), as for I'm a sophomore. On the USMA website they really didn't provide that answer, so if anyone can answer that it would be great.

Yes, their only criterion for SLS admissions is test scores.

Since you cannot attend until the end of your Junior year it should not be a problem to take one of the required tests before applications begin in December.

.

Not true. Had a kid (with very high test scores) that got rejected and I followed up with the Admissions Office. The answer I got back was not enough "leadership" activities.

Thanks for the correction. Indeed, here's what they say in the FAQs section regarding SLS admissions:

" Invitations to the seminar are awarded on a competitive basis using the academic, athletic and extracurricular information provided in the SLS application."

Sorry to be the bearer of false info!

This video, which was on the old admissions website (not so sure about the new, current one) states that you need to be on top 10-15% of the class, upper 600s for SAT, ACT upper 20s low 30s, be part of "a sport or two" and perhaps varsity letters.

I played Volleyball for 3 years and Handball will be completing 2. No Varsity Letters in Brazil (but I never told them before getting accepted, so it is not a requirement to get into SLS). I registered and soon received the acceptance letter. My SATs are in the 600s. And I am at the top 5% of my school. I think it uses a "scan" method to determine whether you'll be accepted or not.
