My DS just accepted the appointment for class 2022, and we are looking for information on what is the next step.

1. Is there 2022 class Facebook or portal for students and parents. I looked and searched for them, but I was not sure which one is the right one.

2. Indoc date is June 29, 2018 for class 2022, and parent visit date starts on Aug. 31. What other important dates for class 2022? Is there any parent visit date or ceremony between Indoc date on June 29 and Parents Visit date on Aug. 31, 2018. I could not find any on USMMA web.

3. When is 2022 Acceptance day after 3 weeks of training? Is it during the Parent visit date on Aug. 31 or is this a different date? Anybody knows what the date is? USMMA web does not explain this, and we are really confused.

Thank you in advance.

1. There will be a 2022 FB page. You will receive a reporting in packet with that information around the first week of May. There will be experienced Kings Point parents on that site to answer your questions. You can always pm me in the meantime. I know there is a lot of new information to absorb, and it will start to come at you very fast very soon.
2. You have the important dates correct for class of 2022. No real time to visit between INDOC and parents weekend. Plebes will have no liberty during that period of time. Some parents come to campus on Sunday(s) to attend church with their DS or DD, but that is frowned on. If you do that, you are likely to create resentment among your plebe's peers. My advice is to write letters often but do not visit until parents weekend. Let your plebe adjust to new life at KP. You will be able to talk on the phone once per week on Sunday afternoons for 5-30 minutes depending on your plebe's company. You will also be able to communicate via FB messenger.
3. Acceptance Day has varied over the years, but lately it has been in conjunction with Parents Weekend, so I am guessing it will be this year also.
I know it is difficult to make this transition. Sometimes I think it is harder for parents than for our kids. Know that your DD/DS will be cared for at KP and try to step back and let them adapt to their second family. You will have a million questions, and about 999,000 of them will go unanswered. It will get easier. As the mother of two Kings Pointers (2013 and 2021), please let me know if I can help.

Kpmom2013, I appreciate your logical advice throughout your posts.. as I wait on hold with my DS.. I hope we can heed it in the very near future.

Thank you for your kind words. I assume you are from Tennessee. My DD has gotten to know kids from all over the country at Kings Point, and she says those from Tennessee are the absolute best. Good luck to your DS. Lots of appointments to come this month and next. Hang in there!

There is already a 2022 parent page--and had over 145 members at this point when I just looked. Search 'USMMA Class of 2022 Parents' and it will pop up. Search the same without 'Parents' and the student page will display. I would encourage each to join the respective pages as they are full of invaluable help. Congratulations!

Thank you! Actually I am a Tennessean; but my DS is a Buckeye... and has been for most of his life. Again, thank you for your encouragement!

There is a Parents Facebook group. Search for USMMA Class of 2022 Parents -KP Official. Parents of those who have appointments to class of 2022 are encouraged to join.
