Parents,

This is for everyone, but particularly the parents of the new cadet candidates for 2014. You have an amazing resource available to you. Her name is Deb Dalton and she is the West Point Parent Liaison. Deb works in the Directorate of Communication and it is her job to keep parents informed. There are many sources of information out here, and while all are well meaning, Deb is the ONLY souce of accurate, up-to-date, and most importantly OFFICIAL information about West Point for parents. She can answer any question you have, or find out who can. Deb runs the Parents Webpage on the West Point Site, the Official West Point Parents FaceBook Page, and also has a Twitter account folks can follow. She is extremely accessible, and I encourage all of you to contact her with any questions or concerns you might have. You can reach Deb at any of the following:

Re - resource

Just one issue .................... I absolutely despise Face Book.

Resources for USMA Parents

I totally agree with Sierra 1, but that being said, if someone really wants to find something out about someone, on the internet, it is not that hard to do. Just food for thought.

Stay away from Facebook! Cadre will be monitoring and you will pay a price for some stupid comment you inadvertently made.

My two cents:
The information on the facebook site comes straight from West Point...via Deb Dalton, while prospect net et al come second hand. This is a great source for parents to have questions answered STAT. Additionally, during beast Deb posted a plethora of new cadet pictures. While prospect net and plebe net are useful, there are times when new parents feel like they are getting their hands slapped. This is not the case with the West Point Parents site on facebook.
