You know the chiefs and spec ops communities turned out in force.

Ironic that denial of a medical waiver for the thyroid cancer was blocking her accession to an officer program, and most appropriate that her situation caused a change for future enlisted to officer medical waivers.

They probably won’t, but I’d love to see a USS SHANNON KENT. I know she was spotlighted because of her gender, and countless others have served and given their lives in the same way. Perhaps a new building at NSA at Ft. Meade can be named for her.

I found the Navy Sea Chanters rendition of the Navy Hymn, or “Eternal Father.” The Sea Chanters are an enlisted chorus of talented voices. I looked for the CPO verse but couldn’t find it.

It was not until the end that I realized that the author of the article was writing about his wife, Chief Kent.
