I am looking for restaurant suggestions that will do catering in Annapolis. Basically, where can I order food to feed my daughters team after a game? Looking for family style served pans of yummy food that can be delivered. Thank you!!!

Catering is huge in Annapolis after a game, for reunions, company dinners, team events, graduation parties, etc.

I have used each of these, though not during pandemic. There are many more. Even Chik Fil A does catering trays.

All the bbq places offer pick-up of complete set-ups with sides and plasticware; I think most deliver.
- Mission BBQ (caution, they do a lot of USNA events, so no novelty there, but always good)
- Adam’s Ribs
- Red, Hot & Blue
- Pit Boys BBQ AND crab, best of both worlds
- Bayside Bull (delivers the usual catering pans but can do a whole hog in your driveway with their mobile smoker, I can attest to this, a party for the ages, we burned our mortgage and invited neighbors, friends, family and sponsor mids)

Italian usually pleases everyone:
- Maggiano’s Little Italy has an extensive family-style catering menu, all the good stuff, garlic bread, etc., and they deliver. Universal crowd-pleaser.

Caterers popular for USNA and USNA Alumni Assn events:
- Main & Market - they can do everything from on-site staff and bartender and delivered plates/glasses to just delivery, fancy menus to crab-picking’, whatever.

- O’Leary Catering Company

- Palate Pleasers

- Bayside Catering (non-bbq side of Bayside Bull)

For dessert, truly Annapolitan places:

Or:
Catering menu AND an ice cream truck! We hosted a bridal shower for a USNA alumna sponsor daughter getting married at the Chapel. A true ladies’ lunch of salad buffet (me and Whole Foods take-out) and then the ice cream truck pulled up into the driveway.

In addition to all of the great suggestions @Capt MJ recommended, I would also like to mention Little Carmine's in Severna Park. They offer a lot of good Italian options. My company recently used them for a party and we were pleased. Out of all the places catering places I have worked with in the Annapolis Area, I think your dollar will go the furthest with Little Carmine's. My company mates loved the garlic knots!

As far as delivery goes here is a picture of the places that can drive on the yard to cater parties. Anything not listed could only drop off outside of Gate 1.

I run up to Carmine’s for pizza. Reasonable NY style, and I always get hot garlic knots to eat in the car going home. Excellent recommendation.

Bo Brooks is on the list of approved caterers for NAAA (Athletic Assn) venues. I have a lot of their food over the years. Very good.

I think options will depend on whether you are doing this off or on Yard, and whether you are having it delivered or picking up.

it would be delivered to the stadium so hoping to use someone that will drop off there so I dont have to leave the game to pick it up - I also want a list for hosting team gatherings for the girls when we are in town. we bought a place in Annapolis.

If you have stadium parking/tailgating area reserved, I think the only caterers who can enter the parking lot are the NAAA-approved ones, but that’s my impression. Here’s the POC for game day, Kris:

excellent point! I know we will be tailgating in the parking lot and assuming that its reserved for the team - spring sport - not football season - but who knows since I am a plebe mom - I have no clue - I will ask team parents how all of that works. I for sure will use these lists of caterers for home delivery. Thank you Capt. MJ!

NAAA is a rainmaker, money-wise, and their preferred caterers who have access to stadium facilities and lots no doubt pay for the privilege. Checking with NAAA will clarify how it works for your daughter’s game days. You yourself can bring whatever food from whatever source into the lot in your own vehicle. I think the challenge arises from commercial access.

Let your plebe be the guide on team gatherings; it can be a different environment than HS sports for teen girls. Liberty is a precious commodity for varsity athletes, and upperclass young adult women will scatter on overnights, with non-team friends and classmates, have love lives, need to hit the books, have other ECAs, be standing watches to make up for when they were traveling due their sport, wanting some non-team-time chilling at sponsor’s house, etc. The coaches will have their own schedule of social team time. You could also gain insight from the team captain by asking her to be candid with you about team social gatherings and listen to what she advises, gaining a senior mid’s-eye view on team culture and the balance with non-team-related mid life.

Paging @NavyHoops as our resident varsity athlete alumna. My observations stem from being on the staff, being O-Rep for women’s basketball, and watching dozens of sponsor mids sons and daughters on various teams spend their time over the 25 years or so we have been sponsoring them.

Very good points above.
During my time as a USNA athlete, I don't think I ever experienced parent-run parties or get togethers in Annapolis, but there were a number that took place while at or travelling to/from Away events. Hosting local team gatherings was a longtime unofficial duty of Ensigns/2LTs who stayed at USNA for Temporary Duty after graduation. I hosted a number while I was an Ensign/Assistant Coach and they were pretty informal, not catered.
I do think that at least some of the Mids will come by for good food though.
.
I will caveat with my experiences during Graduation Week though. I attended a number of parent thrown team events when I was a mid and also when I was the parent of a mid. One of my treasured moments was attending a team party as a parent and hanging out with several other team parents who had been MY teammates when I was a mid.

all excellent info for sure!! the team does a tailgate after each game and the parents host the food for the team and coaches - they love it and get some good food before heading back to the yard. I will chat with team parents that head this up to get more direction for sure. totally agree on the liberty for these girls, it is precious and they dont get much of it. thank you for all the guidance! its very appreciated!
