I have a question. From what I know the sit up score is a max of 95 and push ups 75, but ive seen several scores that go over that. Do i have this wrong or did the people who gave the testing play a cruel practical joke on these guys by allowing them to do more than they needed?

I don't know why some people go over. The information you have is correct. Max for push ups is 75 and sit ups is 95.

it depends on who is testing you. You can quit after that amount (you can't get a better score than 100%) but some chose to continue because it made them feel better to keep in rhythm

Well, it's official (as if there was much doubt)... 26 push-ups does not cut it. My AFA counselor called a little while ago to inform me that the admissions panel has requested that I retake the CFA. I was planning to retake it in a week or two for my USNA application, so I suppose it's good I will have the chance to submit higher scores to the AFA.

On a bright side, she did say my academic and ec composite scores were high.

Yeah. While I had hoped it might be good enough for the admissions panel, I certainly knew that I had a lot of work to do before June. Knowing this though, I will go into superdrive and start doing twice as many as I have been.

Well, pending on snow melting from the track this weekend, it looks like I will be retaking my CFA on Monday or Tuesday. My scores won't be nearly as impressive as other's that have posted here, but I think I should be able to eek out another pullup or two (to 9 or 10) and I'll hopefully be at or slightly above 40 pushups. Mile should be interesting since my running has been sporadic lately, but I'll hopefully be able to keep it under 6 minutes with some help.

Retook it today. Pretty happy with the results. Considering it was in the 20s just a few weeks ago, I couldn't have asked for a better day to run the mile with the temperature near 60 degrees today.

Old:
BB throw 55'
Pull-Ups: 8
Shuttle Run 8.7 seconds
Sit-Ups: 84
Push-Ups 26
Mile Run: 5:56

Today:
BB throw: 63'
Pull-Ups: 10
Shuttle Run: 8.8 seconds
Sit-Ups: 92
Push-Ups: 43
Mile Run: 5:50
