I can imagine logistically a challenge. In the course of a day don't they generally return to their rooms and change uniforms, books etc? I am sure they will navigate that, and be happy to deal with it rather than be at home. I won't go running to FB with the news. Not mine to tell.

Glad to hear it. I am sure it was in a contract state and not something they could announce until solidified. I know USNA has strengthened ties with the school next door and glad to see it worked out. They make money, Mids come back.

Yes, Mids go back and forth all the time. Just have to plan better, pack their PT gear, possibly run busses, etc. I am sure they have a plan and it will all work out. There will be lessons learned and adjustments made as they execute it. Part of leadership.

This has been a point of discussion for a while; DD mentioned it was floated as a possibility a couple of weeks or so ago.

I am guessing this has been in the works for weeks and we’re waiting on contract to finalize. A great option. I am sure there will be lessons learned along the way and adjustments made. The way I look at it... no other grads can say they lived ‘off the yard’ as Mids!

I watched this with my DS during his time at home. We also enjoyed Hunt for Red October.

Oh I am sure it won’t be full liberty. I am sure there will be some duty set up, Taps taken each night, etc. I am sure they will restricted to the dorms for the most part except when they head to the yard. Heck the dorms are closer than some of the Apts outside gate 8. It’s a short walk or jog back on the yard to do Mid life.
