"Every year, more than a thousand National Guard, reserve and active-duty troops coming back from Iraq, Afghanistan or other military duties complain of being denied jobs or otherwise being penalized by employers because of their military obligations.

The biggest offender: the federal government"...

"For it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "Chuck him out, the brute!"
But it's "Saviour of 'is country," when the guns begin to shoot;
An' it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' anything you please;
But Tommy ain't a bloomin' fool - you bet that Tommy sees!

I am not trying to be political, but this is a leadership failure.

Current administration plans to encourage hiring of veterans

But the Justice Department refuses to prosecute most cases.

I would say an executive order will grab some attention within the federal government (but I haven't seen one addressing this yet)
