Reviewing Files

Approximately how long does it take to review a candidates file? I had contacted my RC about a 3q letter and what I could do to ensure I was 3q'ed. He said that they would be sent out after reviewing a nominated candidates file. I received my nomination the other day and was just curious as to when I could expect some feedback.

It all depends on how many files are sitting in the RC's queue for review, how fast the admission committee members are getting through the second check, the second RC balancing reviewing their own files and the third checks they have to do for other RCs, and if the file needs any special reviews. Expect 2-4 weeks if everything is truly complete and you are competitive. Possibly shorter if you are a high potential candidate, longer if you are less likely.
