Hello! I am a Rising Junior and it has been my lifelong dream to attend USNA/NROTC. I have a peanut allergy, which I understand is an automatic medical disqualification. I was prescribed an EpiPen, but I've never had to use it, and I haven't had any reaction to peanuts in over 5 years. Recently, I was able to have my allergy waived for an NJROTC program that disqualifies applicants with peanut allergies based on a note my doctor wrote for me.
I was wondering if there is anything I can do now to better my chances of having my allergy waived? I'm considering immunotherapy, and I have heard about others who have done it to have their allergies waived. Does anyone have any experience with immunotherapy? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance
