Roller coaster I: Get You (The Parents) Through Plebe Year - Class of ‘28 🎢

Air Force week shenanigans seemed like the worse way back when DS was a Plebe.
I have a photo of the work party cleaning up after their deck was "hit" with buckets of chocolate pudding.

It seemed...excessive.

Curious, how many buckets is the appropriate amount?
 
Where’s my plebe parents at? Getting ready to head to the airport to deliver my plebe for his redeye back to the yard. I can’t believe how fast the last 2+ weeks went. He is packing up and seems happy to be getting back. Fall semester served up some academic challenges and struggles with time management (never went UNSAT but got the first C of his life), and now he’s motivated to do better.

I showed him the other thread about plebes dreading going back and he said he doesn’t feel that way but he also wishes he could stay home with us (maybe he’s just saying that to make his mama feel better). We are all excited to see what new adventures he gets this spring as well as finding out what summer holds.

Anyway. Check in.

How's everyone's Plebe doing being back on the grind?

Mine is reporting classes are good so far and he's enjoying his new set of professors. He's looking forward to summer trainings though...maybe it's just the summer temps he's longing for.

The majors fair on Tuesday got his wheels turning about his future options. I'm sure the next one on Friday will do the same.

I'm so thankful every time he calls and seems excited about all the possibilities. I hope your Plebes are doing well.

I’ve always wondered how hard it would be to install countdown timers like the one I created below on the fly, screenshotted. It would be fun to have I-Day and Comm Day counters for all SAs. Might be incompatible with the platform, eat up too much space, I don’t know. Maybe the Modsters will notice…

Apparently a quiet thread for the Class of 2028. Dropped off DS at the Yard last night, won't have him home again until maybe the intercessional period. He got what he wanted for summer training (Summer Seminar for first block, West Coast PROTRAMID for second block) so all good there.
 
DS doesn't share much, but we pry info from him as best we can! Nice to see him for Spring break and cook for him, which was his favorite part. I knew he was in his element and doing just fine after asking him what has been the "worst" part of academy life. Expecting to hear something along the lines of the early morning workouts, being tired, academics, etc. he said the potatoes are never cooked right and are generally not very good. Whew, I think he's fitting in! Likely won't see him until 3rd block leave. He has east coast PROTRAMID followed by MAGTF. He's had a great plebe year and looking forward to summer trainings.
 
Glad this thread has revived! DD got CWE PTE for block 1, does anyone know where this training might take place? I can't seem to find much info about this training block even on the FB groups. TIA
