Approx what date does block 3 begin, e.g. 3C west coast PROTRAMID?
The published calendar seems to show 3d block beginning on July 25th.Approx what date does block 3 begin, e.g. 3C west coast PROTRAMID?
Same - trying not to be sad already and enjoy the last week. He is super pumped about going to SD. At least we hopefully have all those cool aviation photos to look forward too!Only a week left with our mid (asleep in his room) before heads out to 3rd block Protramid and then straight back to Mother B. (sigh...)
I have those charges too, the random ones on our cc... now I get it college expensesDD is getting pro in doing her laundry, glad DW taught some of those skills while still in HS.
I do see about $15-20 per month charged on my cc for using the laundry machines in Mother B. I once asked her why she does not pay for it using her cc. Her reply was simple and straight that these are college expenses and I am supposed to pay for it .
Not having those discussions with her again, just glad that she is a great place learning and having great enriching experiences.
DS said same. They go straight back to Annapolis and then on leave for a few days. Unfortunately, they cannot stay in CA (where we live) for those few days of extra leave.Heard from DD that the 3rd block POTRAMID is being compressed into 3 weeks due to finding issues…She has mixed feelings as she gets to come home for 4-5 days now..
Have a wonderful time!! Mine comes home tomorrow. Can’t wait to see her!DS is on way home for Block 3 leave. First time all of us will be together in our house since Christmas and certainly the longest we will be together since I-Day 2021. Wow.
DW and I have had a taste of empty nesting this summer since mid-Sib has been on three different week long trips. It will be an adjustment off all of us under one roof again for a short period of time!
Bacon is secured, fresh fruit to last at least three days, fresh sheets on his bed! Anxiously awaiting his sea stories from PROTRAMID and YP Cruise.
Last time I checked the LTJG's cell phone was still on my plan.DD is getting pro in doing her laundry, glad DW taught some of those skills while still in HS.

My son is also finishing up PROTRAMID, aviation/SWO week this week. I'm actually quite disappointed for them- that PROTRAMID has been shortened by a week, but my complaining rightfully falls on deaf ears compared to the MIDs' experiences of not having PROTRAMID at all a couple years ago. I will say otherwise, he has had a blast and it is moving him in certain directions selection wise. Our youngster is finishing up protramid in SD and will not go underway on a sub after all ... not enough space. A little disappointed, he wanted to try it. So he's just there hanging out there the last week and will go back to USNA early (3rd block is only three weeks).
BUT there is 5 days of leave and he wants to come home.
Booked a flight immediately back to the west coast, luckily we have points he can use. ( edit: There is no independent travel allowed for them after 3rd block)
Summer going by so fast....
C/O ‘22 and ‘23 had no PROTRAMID at all. Many also had their surface cruises cancelled. They found ways to get them exposed. My son is also finishing up PROTRAMID, aviation/SWO week this week. Mine was bumped for space on subs week 1 of block 3 - gave him some time to kick around and chill but sorry he missed the sub experience. Our youngster is finishing up protramid in SD and will not go underway on a sub after all ... not enough space.
