Does anyone have a recent list of schools that offer incentives, stipends, free room and board, etc. for AFROTC Scholarship recipients?
Someone put some exhaustive research into this question, in this thread, years ago. Chances are, most of it is probably current, but in any event is a good starting point. Rather than ask such a broad question, limit your search to a half dozen universities which have an AFROTC program, which you actually want to attend. No matches, then expand your search. You young people have this thing called a google machine in your pocket, with more computing power than NASA had back during the Apollo missions.Does anyone have a recent list of schools that offer incentives, stipends, free room and board, etc. for AFROTC Scholarship recipients?
It depends on the school some may. You have to call the school and see. That is what we did for our son. He ended up at USAFA.Do ROTC scholarships include room and board?
I believe others have said yes but that R&B can be taxed where tuition scholarships are not.If we already have tuition covered via another scholarship/method, Can you use AROTC Scholarship for Room and Board?
One of the Florida college universities that offer close to that is FIU - Army ROTC, the choice between Tuition or Room/Board funded. Most ROTC students that are FL residents are already Bright Futures Scholars with a full-ride tuition/books/fees already. Other schools have in the past like Florida A&M on a case by case, not advertised.helping a buddy out- anyone know if UF (florida) offers room and board?
When we visited one NROTC program the PNS said that the Navy was transitioning to allowing scholarship recipients to use the funds for either tuition or R+B. Not sure if that will be available in 22-23 or some future date but it's a planned change. As mentioned in the thread, there are a number of cases where tuition can be covered by other programs so having the option to pay R+B from the ROTC program is good.Yes for AROTC, but not for other programs. There may be some limits on what they pay, but I can't say I'm real familiar with that side of the program. I'm confident others who are will chime in.
Texas A&M and the Citadel now have scholarships for ROTC scholarship students that cover room and board.School's that offer Free room and board for ROTC students

The Citadel also offered to pay the 1st year of tuition on my son's 3 year AROTC scholarship, but he had a 4 year NROTC offer that he will most likely end up using in Texas.Texas A&M and the Citadel now have scholarships for ROTC scholarship students that cover room and board.
Hope that comes to pass for NROTCWhen we visited one NROTC program the PNS said that the Navy was transitioning to allowing scholarship recipients to use the funds for either tuition or R+B. I thought that type 1 Air Force rotc does cover room and board. Does anyone know Answer to that?
No, only tuition and fees, including books. None of the Types (1, 2, 7) cover R&B.I thought that type 1 Air Force rotc does cover room and board. Does anyone know Answer to that?
