i wanted to take rotc for college and a computer science major at the same time (master if possible) and since rotc is four years and it takes about 6 to get a masters degree(including bachelors) i was wondering on how to fit it into 4

My DS has about 25 credits from dual enrollment and will get 9 retroactive, gen ed credits if he takes one upper level german class in his first year and gets at least a B. That should already put him ahead on the overall time scale. He has a 4 year AROTC scholarship and as of now is planning on civil engineering and taking part in the honors college. He went to preview day and talked to ROTC and to his engineering advisor and she mapped out all his classes (depending on the concentration he choses in civil engineering) through to completion of the degree. There might be a chance he can get an accelerated masters in those 4 or 4.5 years. I suggest you get in touch with an advisor right now and find out the options you have. You might be able to take placement tests and test out of some freshman level required classes. Good luck! Do your research and plan ahead!

EDIT> I didn't want this to come across as bragging...sorry if it did! (He is a good student but not one of those superhuman out of the park candidates, he recently got rejected by West Point) I just wanted to show that planning ahead and reaching out to an advisor early on will save lots of headaches in the long run.
