Hi all, I have already applied to West Point, but if I do not get admitted my goal is still to be an army officer so I want to apply to ROTC. As of right now I do not have any knowledge on the process and what schools offer it, so if there is anyone here who has any knowledge of how to start the application that would be greatly appreciated.

What have you done to find the answers to your questions? Initiative is a key skill for success in life, not just as an Army officer. I'd suggest you go do some research and get a basic understanding of what is required, then come back with some more specific questions. A simple Google search should get you to the appropriate website that will list schools available, program overview and link to the application in less than a minute; at least it did for me.

I love it when a youngster comes to this forum and asks a question that can simply be answered with a quick one or two sentence response (as Kinnem did above) and get's a paragraph response of: "you're showing no initiative, what are you doing asking that question here, go google it....." I would respectfully submit that coming here and asking that question is showing initiative and frankly a very efficient way of starting the process by asking those who have been there before.
