Hello all, I am an Army ROTC cadet in the process of applying for a waiver. I had mitral valve repair surgery in Feb 2011, the surgery went great and have no issues what so ever with my heart. I got Dq'd for having a history of Mitral Valve disease. My question is, if I get an echo and a detailed letter from my cardiologist clearing me and indicating I am in good health should that be enough to get atleast a decent shot for the waiver. More information about myself, I got a 247 pt score and ranked number 2 on my class OML. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
