my deadline is next sunday, march 4th. I've been held back for the longest time because they never cleared that they had received my transcript T_T. and now I have to find an interviewer omg. I live in nj. You think I can call the rotc in TX cuz I got into UT. and ask for a skype call? is that okay to do?

The preferred method for an interview is face to face. Recommend you contact one of the schools in NJ and schedule your interview with them ASAP. UT might be willing to Skype, but you would be best served to show up at an ROTC Battalion ready to interview in person.

If it is important to you, then you will keep on calling until you get a response.

What I tell you if you were my kid is to get dressed in your suit and tie outfit, drive there in the morning, go into the NROTC office and see if you can meet with the NROTC LT. This is often not so difficult. Explain your situation, and ask if they can do the interview then and there. I simply suggest this because your clock is ticking, and you are running out of options. I highly doubt the UT guy will do it over the phone. Besides, you want the face-to-face to make a good impression. My son kind of went through the same thing because his NROTC "contact" was dragging his feet on everything. He ended up making an appointment and driving 2 1/2 hours to his interview. The other option is to send an overnight FEDEX envelope with a letter inside explaining your situation. FEDEX packages tend to get noticed. Just sayin. Good luck!

What Jeepman said. That's what I'd tell my kid. And if no one's there, drive to the next nearest ROTC campus. And then the next. Repeat the day after tomorrow until you get an interview. Be prepared to do the interview on the spot. Back at high school the next day, take the unexcused absence, telling the school you were cutting class and have no excuse. That's what I'd tell my kid.

Many schools have a policy that allows you to be absent if you are a senior and you are doing college visits or scholarship interviews. It may be unnecessary to take an unexcused absence.

Yup, my son was able to have excused absences for all his interviews in this and the SA process, no questions. In fact, they were quite encouraging because so few kids even attempt the process.

I don’t recommend showing up unannounced and demanding a scholarship interview. It’s bad enough waiting till the last minute.

Throwing up your hands in defeat just because no one answered the phone isn’t the right answer either. Sometimes it takes a little google razzle dazzle to find the phone number that someone will pick up.

Certainly don't "demand" anything, lol. Just stay positive and see what they can do. They may set up an appointment with you for two days later, or they may just do it on the spot. Stay humble above all else.

Yes, don't demand. What I have in mind is showing up well-dressed and asking politely for an last-minute appointment on the following day. But be ready for the PMS to say, "How about now?"

And one last thing....don't talk like you write. Just sayin....you write like a punk. Acting like an officer begins NOW. Everything you do matters.
