Does anyone know what is currently happening with ROTC students since campuses have been closed. My DS and I were wondering what the possibilities could be if they do not attend in the fall due to COVID. He is planning on attending A&M I the fall.

Currently ROTC students are doing classes online, including ROTC related classes and labs. Summer training for all ROTC programs may suffer but that hasn't been determined yet. With respect to this autumn, you'll have to wait patiently for an answer like the rest of the world. No decisions have been made as it's way to early to change anything based on the current situation. If we aren't out of this by the time colleges start their fall semester; we've got much bigger problems.

DS is planning on starting AROTC in August. ROO held zoom meeting with all scholarship winners last week and they are moving forward. DS will plan to be there, but always possible they’ll have to adapt based on conditions over the next few months. Lots of uncertainty. Plan, adapt, plan, adapt.

Our classes are online, we are also starting online labs this week. Since we coincidentally finished all of our tactical labs this semester, we are going to listen to a presentation on certain topics given by the MSIVs (Seniors). We still need to do PT - We send up a weekly PT schedule to our CADRE, more specifically our NCO. Our NCO actually read ours and, at least, checked up on me. Our CADRE is still available for online meetings too. Additionally, our 12-Mile ruck, FTX, and Military Ball were (of course) canceled.

Very nice that your ROO held a zoom meeting with the incoming scholarship recipients. That was a very good idea on their part.
