ROTC scholarship applications

Where do I find out what things I need for the AROTC application because I was able to find all that stuff for the NROTC application and they had a list of things/ a checklist for the application process but I could not find anything comparable on the army website other than the link to the website for applications which I cannot access yet anyway given that they haven’t finished with the 2020 class yet. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what I need for the AROTC scholarship application in addition to filling out the application form in order to get them ready so I have them for when applications open later on this year in June.
 
Very similar required items as NROTC. High school guidance counselor contact information, High school transcript, SAT and ACT score sheets (you will upload these to your portal), AROTC ties scholarships to schools so you will need your top 7 schools in order of preference. Aside from the application itself, work to improve all Extracurricular activities, Leadership, fitness level and athletics, Interviewing skills!!!, Academics, Academics, Academics.
 
I suggest picking up a copy of the following book. Yiu can get it on Amazon and the author is a frequent poster on the forum. It was very helpful for us. The Insider's Guide to the Army ROTC Scholarship for High School Students and their parents.

So I assume all these things are included in the application related portion of the USArmyROTC website

have you looked at the portal? If you haven't started the application its too late for this year. If you started you only have a couple of days left to finish it.

Are you talking about the 2020 scholarship application because I would be applying for 2021 since I’m a junior

My first DD completed the AROTC scholarship app. Mark you calendar for when the application becomes active. From 2 years ago, she did need a couple of reference letters so communicate that to your high school counselor and one other teacher before school lets out. Talk to your counselor about getting your transcript before they leave on vacation for the summer. You will also want your unweighted GPA. Have in mind/visit the colleges you wish to attend and talk with the AROTC unit of each campus to get an idea of how they run their program. All this pre-work will help you make a good clear decision for college preference order. My second DD did both the AROTC and NROTC apps. She found the AROTC application was more efficient to work than the NROTC. When the app opens, you will see. Good luck.
