Hello, I just received two 3 year army rotc scholarships! What do I do now? How do I accept one? And also I have not received an email or letter with more details?

You will receive the offer letter in the next 7-14 days. A digital version will be uploaded to the dashboard within the next few days. They will include an acceptance letter for you to complete and mail back in.

And don't be afraid to take the 30 days to talk to the schools and really evaluate your choices! Such a fun and exciting time. Some schools offer extra benefits to scholarship cadets so be sure to figure that out too.

It is quite the exciting time! How long do I have to respond for the scholarship?

Thank you for the response, and how long do I have to accept or reject the offer

You have 30 days, the date will be in the letter but probably sometime around the 8th of March. As soon as letters start arriving someone will post it on here.

Hello, I received an email from cadet command saying my dashboard has been updated, when I checked my status it still says boarded. Are updates still being made? Did anyone else receive this email and not have a status change?

Email Cadet Command and ask. Tell them exactly what you told us. They are usually quick to respond.

@mrd, we received the email at 2:21 central time. The e-mail says this: This is general notification that your dashboard has been updated with a message or an alert. Please logon and visit the dashboard for more information.

Did you read the alert on your dashboard? My alert says this:

Scholarship selections from the January board have been posted. Please check the Selection Status tab in your application to see if you were selected.

Those selected will see their status has changed to "Winner". The scholarship type and school(s) where the offer is at, is listed at the bottom of the page. A packet with the winner notification letter and instructions will be mailed to the Winners. If you do not receive this packet within 10 days, please email usarmy.knox.usacc.mbx.train2lead@mail.mil to let us know. A copy of the winner notification letter will be uploaded under your file upload tab.

Applicants who are in a “Boarded” status, were not selected and will remain in the “Boarded” status. These applicants will be forwarded for consideration from the final board in March.

30 days. The suspense date will be in the letter.

I also am hoping to receive an appointment from West Point but it may take longer than 30 days to hear. If I don't accept the scholarship offers will the school still have them available?

If you don't accept the offer, it will be given to someone else. My advice is to accept the offer. You can always decline it later if you receive an appointment to USMA.

Hello - thanks to those who have posted - very good info. My son received a 4 yr AROTC scholarship - it was on his portal. We have not yet received a letter in mail. I see here reference to a 30 day deadline - does that run form the scholarship award date? He has not heard form his colleges of choice yet - he has applied to some fairly competitive schools, regular decision - so won't know till late Match or early April if he has been accepted - more than 30 days from his award date. Does anyone know how this might work?

Can you tell me your stats? GPA, etc? To those that were awarded scholarships in the second board.

And anybody knows how many are expected to receive 4 or 3-year scholarships in the third and final board?

he should;

accept the scholarship to one of the schools
contact the ROO and admissions of the school and let them know (the ROO should know already)
after the schools respond request a transfer of scholarship if he does not get into the school that he initially accepted the scholarship to.

My GPA was 4.07, I am ranked 26 in my class out of 189, and I am Captain of two varsity sports (fencing and tennis), Recieved varsity letters, etc, and played couple years of jv soccer. I am student council treasurer, national honor society treasurer, and VP of two other clubs in my school. I ran a half marathon and a full marathon this year (i put this in my personal statement). I did pretty well for my PMS interview and I cant remember exactly how I did for my PFT but it wasn't anything special to be completely honest.
