    Hello,

I read this morning that Trump authorized a 2.4% increase in military pay as part of the new spending bill. It made me think, does the ROTC stipend amount ever change?

Yes it does, but it doesn't change due to this. In fact one of the services recently changed to pay the same stipend amount for all four years, as I recall, instead of an increasing stipend from year to year. It sort of screwed the upperclassmen. I'm sure at some point in time it will increase when the amounts currently paid are less meaningful due to inflation, but not before that.

My DD is in her first year and started getting her stipends. She confirmed that it is now constant for all four years and is $420 a month for up to 10 months so this is good for the new students but not good for juniors and seniors that would have otherwise been at $450 and $500, respectively.

DD clarified that the upperclassmen get to stay with the old stipend scale.

I can confirm what IrishBrewer's daughter said about the upperclassmen, my daughter is a junior, and she gets the old 450 amount, and will get 500 next year.
