ROTC transfer question

Hi
My son got accepted to Navy ROTC but he's waiting to hear from his college choices. He listed Michigan as first choice, but their acceptances don't come out until early April. If he hears from college #2 and #3 on his list within the next couple of weeks, should he just accept and request a transfer to one of those schools? How hard is it to get a transfer if you make the request in early April?

Under the new rules that lifted the caps for scholarships mids in a unit, there doesn't seem to be any rush to transfer the scholarship. The process to transfer the scholarship is on hte portal with the award notification and should also be in the paperwork your DS receives. Everyone I have heard from seems to say it is an easy process and is approved in a day or two. Good luck on the Michigan decision. If DS has not already, he should be sure the unit staff are aware he has a scholarship and definitely wants to attend there.
