Running Shoes

A good pair of Asics is always good...

Right now though I wear the New Balance 767. Good support, pretty versatile, good for some light trail running. Made for over-pronators... I'll probably get another pair before I-Day.

My daughter loves the ASICS..

with her cross country team she went to a shoe store that had the entire team run on a treadmill and they watched how the kids' feet hit the tread, then told them which shoes would be best (thjey had a video camera on the sides and front/back of the tredmill so they could watch.. it was pretty cool)... She has not had a shin splint since she changed to ASICS... even better then NB

Yeah NB aren't that great. They gave me a huge blister halfway my 5 mile run a few months ago so I said no way I'm stepping in those shoes again. They were probably run-down enough, anyway. Asics all the way.

i love the new brooks defyance myself. somewhat light and pretty fast. helped me drop a lot of time already in track this year

It's not really fair to say that one pair/brand of running shoes sucks or is awesome. Different shoes will work for different runners, each of which have a different stride. I've personally had good luck with Asics. Ran in several pairs of their Gel Landreth then switched to the Speedstar model, which is a lightweight trainer. I'm on my sixth or seventh pair of those.

There are some shoes that are unanimously claimed to be awesome:)
I haven't experienced any real running shoes that sucks though, unless the soles are worn out well beyond their standard lifespan.
