Running Start/ Chances of getting ROTC scholarship

What are my chances of getting an NROTC(MO) scholarship? My goal is to become a commissioned officer but money is tight. I'm going to graduate in 2018 from my high school and receive an AA and an AB from a nearby community college. My ultimate question is how do they rank students who have done community college already since that took a toll on my GPA. My GPA is a 3.0, I am in NJROTC, I do water polo, wrestling, and lacrosse, I'm going to be attending Boy's State and will be taking the SAT in June. I would also like to know the procedure for applying for the NROTC(MO).

Start here. http://www.nrotc.navy.mil/index.html The application will be located under the apply tab but read everything there. You can also find some good videos on youtube. Come back here if you have questions.

They are going to look at the whole person including GPA and SAT/ACT scores, sports, other extra-curricular activities, volunteering, and very importantly, leadership. Your PFT scores will be important. http://www.military.com/military-fitness/marine-corps-fitness-requirements/usmc-pft-charts

You will also interview with an officer and their assessment will have weight as will the essays you write as part of your application.

You should also look into the Platoon Leaders Course as a backup plan if needed.

Thank you for replying,
Should I start my application now or wait until I can beef up my GPA and do other things, I'm near the end of my junior year of high school and I am planning on taking college courses at my community college. Does my Running Start credit (currently have 45 college credit hours) disqualify me? Also, how does my major (planning on majoring in International Bussiness) affect my chances of receiving the scholarship?

The Marine Corps doesn't care what your major is.
