I’m extremely curious to know if anyone has ever received a 3 or 4 year with an SAT 1200 or below. Minimum SAT qualification is 1000. Obviously the higher the SAT the better your chances but I would love to hear if anyone has ever received one.

My DS came in just above your cutoff. He got the 4-year with a 1220. His resume was very well-rounded (two varsity sports, team captain, student gov, volunteer work) and he came across very well in interviews, but his academics were just good, not stellar.

I'm reading into your question, and it sounds like your score may be low. There are others here far more qualified to give advice, but I'll start off.

They're looking for the whole package, so if you're weak in one area work on it. (SAT practice!)
Prepare for the interviews. Emphasize your strengths, but don't shy away from addressing your weakness. Explain your strategy for improvement and demonstrate that you're busting your tail to improve.
Good luck. Even if you don't get the scholarship, the process, everything you learn about ROTC and the military, and everything you do to make yourself a better candidate will make you more informed and more competitive when you go the programmer route.
Good luck.
