Early Action deadline is October 15. The very first SAT date for this fall 2016 is scheduled for October 1. The old SAT used to take only about 2-3 weeks for the scores to come out, but the new SAT has been taking well over a month for the scores. For example, the upcoming June 4 SAT scores will not come out until July 21. If our children take the October 1 SAT, can it still count for EA (assuming the scores come out in November) or will this June SAT be the last one that could count for EA? In other words, do they always count the SAT scores as long as it was taken before the deadline (and we could possibly let the AO know its on its way) or do only the scores obtained before the deadline count?
If we think that the October SAT score could significantly improve from June SAT, is it better to play it safe and apply Regular in case the scores don't reach in time to be reviewed? (We've read that EA has much better chance but...) Is anyone else planning to apply EA taking the October SAT, or is everyone done with SAT's already? This new SAT business is giving us such a dilemma.....
