SAT for application?

Good morning, I am about to take my SAT. I assume that the Academy would require me to take the essay portion. However, I cannot find anything solid saying so. Any help is welcomed. Thank you!

USAFA recommends but does not require. If you are able to take it, as it is highly recommended.

I actually don’t think that the SAT with essay is offered by the College Board any longer, this was a recent change that just went into affect this year. I am also applying and took an earlier test with an essay, but as far as I can tell they do not take your essay score into account for your composite score. In other words, take it if it’s even available but don’t worry about it if you can’t. Hope this helps, let me know if you have any more questions!
