Yes sir, I didn’t do so good in chemistry which is the reason ( I think) I didn’t get offered a direct appointment because I was also a principal nominee.

I got into USMMA in 2017 with a high school GPA of 3.0 and ACT score of 26 Composite (math 27 English 25). I had a 3.2 GPA at NMMI during prep school.
Our DD SAT 1370 and GPA 4.0. Do remember that her application included well rounded Leadership (USN Sea Cadet Corps-Chief Petty Officer, AFJROTC Cadet Lieutennant Colonel Group Commander, Westpoint Leadership Conference, National Society of the DAR, College of William and Mary Leadership Award, Class 2020 Student Government ) ,Academic (all AP Courses), Athletic (Captain Cross Country, Crew semi final State Champion), Community Service ( National Award), Nominations ( MOC and Presidential!). The point is, there is no one factor for NAPS or USNA for appointment. In her case, and my guess is that her Calculus and AP Physics are B's??? Just be glad USNA offerred NAPS as a Golden Ticket mentioned by others. Hooyah.....all the Best to you!
