Hi There,

Im applying to the class of 2016 and was wondering if the Academies look at SAT II scores, my scores are as follows

US Histroy: 790
Math II: 760
Chem:790.

should I send them in? and will they be considered in the application process.

Also. I took the ACT sent my scores in,

Verbal:29
Math:34
Reading:36
Science:36

Overall:34

however on CIS the only scores which appear are my two lowest, math and Verbal, will the academy consider the other and my overall as well?

Finally, I took the SAT and my scores were as follows
Math: 690
Reading:800
Writing: 640

Does the Academy only use reading and math, or have they started using writing as well? and if they only use reading and math, will my high reading score counter my lower verbal ACT score.

Hope this makes sense!
Thanks!

Congrats on nice scores. You'll benefit from the ACT score ...math is the single most heavily weighted variable in the WP scoring for traditional candidates.

Here's the "short" answer to your nice dilemma:

They ONLY use math/verbal scores, no SAT II scores, nor writing or overall scores. USNA allows, encourages taking the test until persuaded the test-taker's done his/her best and/or led DOD to bankruptcy. No penalty for multiple exams, taking either, both SAT and ACT. And ONLY use the high scores. They WILL NOT take the high in one area(for example Verbal) from an SAT and high in another (for example math) from ACT. But they will take high math from ACT in Sept, and high verbal from ACT in Dec. ... for example. All the rest might help at Princeton, though. So for example, yours would likely be the 34/29 from ACT thus far. (I think, absent looking @ the conversion table. I believe your ACT math is higher than your SAT 690). You might want to retake either or both to see if you could improve the SAT Math and/or ACT Verbal. But in any case, pretty nice.

Now, let me add ... hope THIS makes sense.
