SAT OR ACT

In the AROTC scholarship online application both the ACT and SAT are marked as “must be completed” but only one test is required for the application and the ACT is the only score my son wishes to enter. Must a score also be put in the SAT field in order for the application to be accepted? We could try hitting submit and find out but normally if something is marked with a mandatory symbol, it means just that. He tried calling the ROTC contact at his school of choice but had no luck getting in touch with them. Thanks so much.

The ACT score alone should be sufficient. If it doesn't accept it, then there is a bug that should be reported. What will probably happen is that the ACT score will be converted to a SAT score and it will go into that field (just guessing with that)

Thank you very much for the quick reply.

My daughter only put an ACT score, and her application is complete. We screenshot her score report and downloaded it in the “file upload” section.

Good luck! :)

My daughter is a MS4 and only took the ACT. In the Goarmy.com requirements either is required, not both.

While only one should be required, I highly recommend all applicants to take each test at least once. I've encountered several applicants that have performed much better on one test than the other.

One of the high schools in our city offers a SAT vs ACT assessment test. That can also be a way to determine which one to focus on .i think the assessment test was 10.00.
