I got my SAT's from March 13 today, so I just thought I would start a thread for all you optimistic juniors to post your SAT scores so we can gauge eachother :wink:
 
Math 670 CR 600 W 560
definitely going to need some improvement
 
From what I've been told they don't even look at the writing score. Is this accurate?
 
Ahart7 those are some nice scores!

CR:600 M: 690 W:500 (My first time ever taking the SAT, I plan on taking it again and improving these scores. Especially CR and W)
 
It is true that they don't look at the writing scores, at least they didn't this year. My writing was my best one (800) so I wanted them to see it, but once you guys get in the CIS you will see that their is only place to enter Math and Critical Reading. Look like some great scores guys. Good luck through this process. It seems like just yesterday that I was embarking on this seemingly daunting task. Its hard to believe that I am less than 100 days from the Academy!
 
Son is bumming right now...expected better on the Math and Writing.

CR - 800
M - 690
W - 660

He will definitely take again to improve on the Math (his best subject...not sure what went wrong) and writing.

Happy about the CR. I think his 3 years of Latin really helped.

I feel weird because on my PSAT i did well on reading not math and on the SAT it is the other way around. Perplexing.

Yours are solid as well and if that is your first time you can definately expect to see big improvement

I definitely plan on taking the SAT again. I plan on retaking it in June, and this time I will actually study for it. Hopefully I do better!

my son and I have been doing some college tours this week and speaking with admissions as well as ROTC. Not one school or ROTC program we have talked to care about the writing score.
 
Geez, I feel pathetic. I took it for the second time and this time my math score went up which is what I was aiming for. So best scores in all are as follows:

M-640, CR-600, W-620.

I will be spending summer studying and will take it once more in October.
