"What nationality is Zaphod?”

Silly me, Here I was thinking it was the name of one of the meerkats from that Animal Planet show, Meerkat Manor. Maybe I should get out more??

Of course Zaphod the meerkat is the alpha male... Wonder what that makes our Zaphod?
 
Psychologists call usna's behavior ... passive/aggressive, mixed with self-deprecation and false humility with a dose of chronic picking. And all from one quick to tell us how disappointed he seems to be when he's challenged and has no response aside from "I said so." :rolleyes:

He and I'd both be kicked outta the plebe corps for the same reason. Neither of us adhere to one of the 5 appropriate responses.

Mine is a refusal to say "aye aye, sir" to one who continues to embrace the self-deluded notion of superiority based on his expertise based on 3 cases of observation.

69's is for his failure to say, "I'll find out, sir" when it's so obvious he doesn't know his butt from 3rd base, and doesn't care to know, rather prefering to slam the source of his ignorance, the SAT in this case.

No doubt it's tough taking orders or even counsel after all those campaigns. His high school math students have him for lunch, no doubt. A refresher course in stats may be in order for the math instructor.

Stick to the Granny Clampett lingo and your Raystown Jon Boat Navy advice, you would make more sense then.

I have sent you several PMs over the last few days, first off to apologize for anything I might have done to set you off like this and secondly, to try to establish some meaningful dialogue on our differences in relation to the SATs. You have ignored them.
Secondly, you keep refering to my "expertise based on 3 cases of observation". If you will go back and read that post you will see where I stated that "this year was not atypical". What part of that statement are you having trouble comprehending?
Now let's get to your last posting. You have continually attacked me for making conclusions based on insufficient evidence. Yet, based on a few short forum posts, you have concluded the following about me:
A. You have judged my moral and ethical fiber.
B. You have analyzed my abilities as a Naval Officer.
C. You have provided a complete psychological profile.
D. You have given me a report on my abilities to succeed in the "plebe corps", whatever that is.(I did survive plebe year. You haven't)
E. You have graded my knowledge of the SAT program.
F. You have provided me with a professional analysis of my abilities to succeed in the job market given my military background.
G. You have provided me with my annual teaching evaluation.
H. Lastly, you have supplemented the local Educational Board on coursework required for my certificate renewal.
After you have grasped the incongruities of your actions thus far, feel free to respond to your PMs so that we may continue our discussion off-board.
Somehow, I have the tendency to think that this is not about the SATs , but some other agenda and I am playing a game for which I do not know the rules. Have a good day.
PS: What the heck is a dose of chronic picking?

Whistle Pig, You know we did make history. Our rantings must have been entertaining. This is the first thread in serviceacademyforums.com history to get 1000 hits. Right now it is about 500 hits ahead of second place. I think we should both get a plaque. Zap, you there?

Yeah, I'll admit to being a silent follower of this thread! I like the way you guys handled it in the end -- I'd expect nothing less on a board moderated by that great AF supporter -- Zaphod! :wink:
