Yeah if they mailed them Thursday..... ughhhhh I think I need a longer break from the mailman.. LOL.. or the mail just needs to show up...:shake:

So Monday is the 15th.. but the final letters not being made until Wednesday... UGHHHH the next week and a half will be hell...
 
My son got a deferral letter out here in Oregon. The letter said to retake the SAT (he got CR 770 M 720 W 660), send in updated transcript (has an overall 3.86 gpa and a 4.0 senior year) and update any ecs. He already has an appointment to USMMA so he is not going to persue CGA any further (USMMA was his first choice). Good luck to all of you, I will be thinking positive thoughts for you all.

According to admissions counselor at CGA, all they want is an update...the easiest is first semester senior year transcript. The list of three is what they send everyone with a deferral. They do not mean for him to re-take the SAT with those scores! However, if he is already appointed to USMMA and that is his first choice...then he might want to let CGA in writing that he is no longer interested so they don't waste time reviewing his application again (which they would do anyway even without updates...) Best wishes to your son at USMMA, it offers awesome opportunities! Our son is also applying there and waiting to hear. His first choice is USNA, but we will see...
 
Yeah my son is going to let them know he is no longer interested, we do not want to waste their time or hold up anyone elses appointment, the waiting is agony enough without it being longer.

Nothing at home in the mail today. No word at all. Wasn't 12/15 the date? I guess we are still waiting.....
 
Son received 3 pieces of mail today.

Got my letter today! .... and deferred. Averx that should mean that you should have yours either today or tomorrow (I'm in Fort Washington).

D got a deferral letter :frown: today and a large brochure on CGA Scholars.

Interesting .. I read the CGA scholars brochure.. I wasnt aware they would have to enlist to do this...So maybe she wont have to take all the CG stickers off her car after all :redface:

yup i got mine today too. i got deffered also. what school are you from?
 
Take HEART! There are lot's of folks who get in on Regular Action AND

sometimes it is really a good thing in the long run to have a prep year to mature and build strength.

The very first CG Admissions Officer we met didn't get in on first try, went to a local college for a year, and got in second year.

He was enjoying his career, had a wife and family, and couldn't be happier it seemed... so, there are lots of ways to get from point A to point B and let us not grow weary!

Nothing here in NJ again...sigh...hearing that the people who have gotten them so far this week got deferrals is making me nervous...maybe tomorrow.
