My DD's status changes after a month from
"REQUESTED WAIVER" to "SCHEDULED IN CONTRACT AREA"

Any idea ? DD already has LOE and SLE. USMA initiated medical waiver itself (as Solid records of accomplishments per letter)

Thanks.

My dd changed from qualified for usma to Scheduled in Contract Area. Dated January 17

My DD said she received this today in her email:
Class of 2027 Candidates,

As you are no doubt aware, the DoDMERB I.T. infrastructure went offline in September and DoDMERB was working through medical exams offline until their system came back online. We are happy to learn that this system has been restored and is now back online. DoDMERB must update this system with all the existing exam results as well as new exams that they continue to receive. We are writing to inform you that as DoDMERB uploads the data from the past 3 months, your status may revert to an earlier status. In other words, your medical status may be reset or changed in both DoDMERB and in the West Point Candidate Portal. This should NOT be a cause for concern for you as a candidate.

Please do NOT panic if the medical status on your West Point Candidate Portal changes from an advanced status (“Qualified”, “Disqualified”, “Remedial”, etc) to a basic status (“Request Scheduling”, “Scheduler Forwarded to DoDMERB”, “Scheduled in Contract Area”, etc).

All waivers and remedials are still being worked in process. If you have already had your physical exam, you do NOT need to reschedule or retake your exam.

If you are working on Remedials, please continue to do so and provide them to the person you were working with.

If you see NEW Remedials which you have NOT yet addressed, please work on them so we can get you medically qualified.

If you have not taken your physical exam, look out for an email from DoDMETS to create your account and schedule your physical.

If your medical status is “No Action” then you have not completed enough of your application to be released for a medical evaluation. Complete your application (not including medical) by January 31st and competitive candidates will have the medical process initiated.
